Arleene Correa Valencia

Arleene Correa Valencia is a current MFA candidate at California College of the Arts. She was born in Arteaga, Michoacán, MX and emigrated to Napa in 1997. In 2019 Arleene was a finalist for the AXA Art Prize, received the William and Gloria Brobeck Scholarship in Graduate Fine Arts and held the notable solo exhibition Invisible at Cal Maritime Community Art Gallery in Vallejo. Previous internships and residencies include Frieze Art Fair, New York, Duke Riley Studio in Brooklyn, and AICAD New York Studio Residency Program, School of Visual Arts, New York. She currently has work on view in the Come to Your Census: Who Counts in America? exhibition at Yerba buena Center for the Arts in San Francisco.
