Chloe Chiasson

Born in a conservative small town in Texas, Chloe Chiasson’s sculptural paintings explore nonconforming sexualities and identities in environments like that of her childhood. Her depictions of queer love, friendship, and self-expression are not only historically important within the context of a heteronormative art historical canon, they are also gestures of support to others who may feel like there isn’t space for their identity to be seen or celebrated. Chloe Chiasson received her BS from the University of Texas at Austin before moving to New York to pursue an MFA at the New York Academy of Art. While at the NYAA, she concentrated in painting and was awarded the Belle Artes Residency and the Chubb Post Graduate Fellowship. Since graduating, Chloe has exhibited internationally in London, Germany, and Hong Kong. Her work has been featured in publications such as New American Paintings, Artnet news, Juxtapoz Magazine, Fine Art Connoisseur, and American Art Collector.
