Tom Colcord

Tom Colcord is a painter and artist educator currently living in San Francisco California. Originally from Indianapolis Indiana, Tom graduated from Indiana University Bloomington in 2013 with a BFA in Painting. Soon after he studied abroad in Italy where he visited the Venice Biennale, which inspired him to pursue art as a career. Next he moved to San Francisco where he received his MFA in studio art from the San Francisco Art Institute, completing his degree in 2017. Since then he has worked as the Bay Area Representative for Gamblin Artist Colors and Strathmore Paper and taught art for the SFAI City Studio Program, Drawn2Art Los Altos and the Community School of Music and Arts in Mountain View. He regularly exhibits with Glass Rice Gallery, Voss Gallery, and Palette Gallery in San Francisco. He is currently the recipient of the Tournesol Award at the Headlands Center for the Arts.
