Isabel Garcia's paintings to be featured in a Dia de los Muertos exhibition

🎨 STUDENT SPOTLIGHT: Celebrating Art, Heritage & Family!

Congratulations to one of our talented student artists, Isabel Garcia, on having two oil paintings selected for the Día de los Muertos exhibition at the Petaluma Historical Library & Museum!

🖼️ The Kitchen That Raised Me, El Sabor de Mis Raíces (2026) is a heartfelt self-portrait of Isabel making conchas, celebrating Mexican heritage, a love of baking, and the family traditions that connect generations.

🖼️ His Life, Our Blessing (2025) is a touching tribute to Isabel's late grandfather, honoring his life, the love he shared, and the lasting legacy he left behind.

Both paintings beautifully capture the spirit of Día de los Muertos through themes of family, remembrance, cultural identity, and love.

The exhibition is on view through November 8, 2026, at the Petaluma Historical Library & Museum.

We are thrilled to see our students sharing their creativity and personal stories with the community. Congratulations on this wonderful achievement! 🎉
