Student Spotlight: Isabel Garcia’s Raíces que Florecen Finds a Home in the Community
We’re excited to celebrate current BFA student Isabel Garcia, whose artwork Raíces que Florecen will soon be on display at the Sonoma County Behavioral Health Clinic!
Created in March 2026, Raíces que Florecen caught the attention of Eduardo Barragan from the clinic’s Latino Department after he encountered Isabel’s work at the Sonoma County Fair. Impressed by several of her pieces on display, Barragan reached out to Isabel about bringing her artwork into the clinic.
Isabel recently delivered Raíces que Florecen to the clinic, where it will be installed and shared with visitors and the community.
For Isabel, the opportunity is especially meaningful: “I’m really excited and grateful to have my work displayed there, especially in a space serving the Latino community.”
